1. Scholar's English Program (F1 / Non F1)       

: 18 hours of classroom instructions per week, eight weeks per session                                       

F1 students are required to take 18 hours of classes per week. This includes GLI's 18 hours of classroom instruction per week. It is a required in-depth course that includes grammar, reading, writing, vocabulary, listening, speaking, and pronunciation. This course takes 5 to 8 sessions (40~64 weeks) to complete. This is a minimum of 720 total hours of class time and takes approximately 1 year to complete. All students are accepted by the placement test.

 

 A total of 7 levels: 2 Beginning, 2 Intermediate, 2 Advanced and 1 Master.

 

 

2. Master¡¯s English Program (F1 / Non F1)        

: 22 hours of lab instructions per week, eight weeks per session                                                              

This includes GLI¡¯S 22 hours of lab instructions per week. F-1 students are required to take 22 hours per week, consisting of 3 hours with an instructor and 19 hours on self-study or lab work.

. This program aims to equip students with communication skills comparable to those of a first-year college or university native speaker. Students will gain skills in research, reading, writing, how to give a collegiate-level presentation and how to participate in a collegiate-level presentation, and how to interact with guest speakers. Programs of 22 hours per week of lab instructions will be customized to meet the needs of each individual student. This course takes 5 to 8 sessions (40~64 weeks) to complete. This is a minimum of 880 total hours of class time and takes approximately 1 year to complete.

Prerequisite

                *Successful completion of the Scholar's Course

              *OR scored higher than the High School level on the GLI placement exam

                *OR successfully passed professional exams in English

3. Master¡¯s Test Preparation Program (F1 / Non F1)    

 

1) 22 Hours of Lab instruction per week– Eight Weeks per Session                                                         

This includes GLI¡¯S 22 hours of lab instructions per week. F-1 students are required to take 22 hours per week, consisting of 3 hours with an instructor and 19 hours on self-study or lab work.

 It requires the test preparation such as TOEFL, SAT, GED, etc. This course takes 5 to 8 sessions (40~64 weeks) to complete. This is a minimum of 880 total hours of class time and takes approximately 1 year to complete. All students are accepted by the placement test or the successful completion of the Scholar's Course. Programs of 22 hours per week of lab instructions will be customized to meet the needs of each individual student.

 

2) 18 Hours of classroom instruction per week - Eight Weeks per Session                                            

This also includes 18 hours of classroom instructions per week. It requires a test preparation such as TOEFL and LSAT. This course takes 5 to 8 sessions (40~64 weeks) to complete. This is a minimum of 720 total hours of class time and takes approximately 1 year to complete. All students are accepted by the placement test or the successful completion of the Scholar's Course.

 

 Prerequisite (All)

             *Successful completion of the Scholar's Course

                *OR scored higher than the High School level on the GLI placement exam.

                *OR successfully passed professional exams in English          

 

 *TOEFL/ LSAT: A student must at least be a high school graduate or have a GED, but the GLI strongly recommends a Bachelors degree for LSAT

 

 

4. International Kids Program ( Non F1)   

: 15 hours of classroom instruction per week, eight weeks per session                                                 

This includes GLI's 15 hours of classroom instruction per week required basic Course which includes grammar, reading and writing, vocabulary, listening and speaking, and pronunciation. This course takes 5 to 8 sessions (40~64 weeks) to complete. This is a minimum of 600 total hours of class time and takes approximately 1 year to complete. All students are accepted by the placement test. A student under the age of 18 must have a parent¡¯s approval.

                A total of 7 levels: 2 Beginning, 2 Intermediate, 2 Advanced and 1 Master

 

 

 5. Masters Business English (F-1 / Non F-1)   

 : 22 hours of lab instructions per week, eight weeks per session                                                             

This includes GLI¡¯S 22 hours of lab instructions per week. F-1 students are required to take 22 hours per week, consisting of 3 hours with an instructor and 19 hours on self-study or lab work. This requires the intensive Business English study. Flexible schedule: Mornings or late afternoon/evenings. This course takes 5 to 8 sessions (40~64 weeks) to complete. This is a minimum of 880 total hours of class time and takes approximately 1 year to complete. Programs of 22 hours per week of lab instructions will be customized to meet the needs of each individual student.

                *OR: score higher than the High School level on GLI's placement test

6. Business English ;  Private and Small Group (Non F-1)

This program is intended for managers, executives, and other business

professionals.  In the context of private or small group instruction, instructors focus on both the specific English language goals of individuals as well as on developing and perfecting skills in each of the foundational areas of the English language.

 

Flexible Times and Days. One to five Students,

Minimum enrollment: 16 hours / 4 weeks

8 week session, 24 times for Small Group

8 week session, 16 times for Private(1:1)

 

* F-1 students are required to take 22 hours per week consisting of 3 hours with an instructor and 19 hours on self-study or lab work.
